Our Story

Matt and I met in 2005 during our sophomore year of college at the University of Indianapolis.  I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Communication and Matt graduated in 2009 with a degree in Human Biology and Exercise Science. Exciting stuff, right?

We got engaged in March of 2011 after a dream propsoal and then married on May 12, 2012. Check out the photos from the big day!

Matt knew he in college he wanted to be a physician. It was just a matter of getting there. I started working after college while he prepared and fine-tuned his application for medical school. After trying a few times, we finally landed at Ross University School of Medicine - right where we're meant to be.

We found out Matt was accepted to Ross in November 2011. He was originally accepted starting in April, but he chose to defer considering the wedding was in May - pretty important thing for him to be there for.

Matt completed his first semester, MERP, in Freeport, Grand Bahamas, in November 2012. Now, we are living in Portsmouth, Dominica, for four semesters, or 16 months. This is the first step in our long journey we have ahead of us.

Dominica? Don't you mean the Dominica Republic? Actually, it is Dominica. Here's a little bit of info about Dominica that explains exactly where we are.

We are forever grateful for all of the love and support we have received from our friends and family. We're hoping to keep you all updated and stay connected as we travel throughout the Caribbean and pursue medical school!
